The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house money will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public click here universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
